Our 2019 Priorities

The Hollywood Commission has prioritized initiatives to protect the thousands of freelance entertainment-industry workers who are not currently covered by existing workplace structures.

To do so, the Hollywood Commission will develop a code of conduct, a reporting and response system, and anti-bias training programs for freelance workers.
a/
CODE OF CONDUCT

The Hollywood Commission will establish a code of conduct that is well-communicated through sources available to freelance workers and others not covered by Commission Members’ existing structures.

b/
REPORTING AND RESPONSE SYSTEMS

Based on the code of conduct, the Hollywood Commission will develop a fair, consistent, and safe system for reporting, investigating, and resolving claims of breaches of the code, including harassment and other forms of bias against freelance workers.

c/
PREVENTION AND RECOGNITION TRAINING

The Hollywood Commission will develop anti-bias and harassment prevention training that can be used in multiple workplace settings and offered to those who have no access to effective training.

To ensure it collects feedback from the relevant constituencies, the Hollywood Commission will begin this work by defining and identifying – and then conducting outreach to – industry freelancers.
